Homecoming Weekend DUI Enforcement

Please do not drink and drive! We are coming up on a busy weekend in Erie, PA. It is Homecoming Weekend at both Mercyhurst and Gannon, and it is Winefest in Northeast, PA.
Make sure that if you are celebrating in Erie County this weekend, you are safe. As always, plan your post-celebration transportation in advance via a designated driver, Uber or Lyft.
Just an FYI – Friday AND Saturday night Operation Nighthawk is in town and there will be an estimated 200 Officers from multiple agencies in the city doing checkpoints and conducting traffic stops.
Operation Nighthawk was last in Erie in 2015 resulting in more than 50 DUI arrests. Last year in Luzerne County, Operation Nighthawk yielded more than 100 arrests.
